Béton mural Marius Aurenti – finishing plaster for interior walls
Dress your walls in concrete
Decorative, original and durable, wall concrete is a specific form of
micro concrete
intended for interior wall decoration (in a
bedroom
bedroom
living room
living
kitchen
).
Composed of cements, sands and mineral pigments, wall concrete can be finished with various types of products
finishing products (stain/varnish)
depending on use.
Wall-mounted micro concrete is a different material from “Classic” micro concrete (which is mainly used for floors). floors). The wall-mounted version is in fact a finishing plaster, which has the property of being workable on large surfaces.
Wall concrete is also much less expensive, as it can be applied in a thin layer over a primer before applying a protective coat, so it has a clear economic advantage.
In general, wall concrete is applied in a millimetric layer, over an existing substrate: this may be plasterboard or breeze-block, coarser cement or even tiles. In all cases, the substrate must be carefully prepared to ensure an even finish.
And if you’re wondering whether it’s possible to make an entire room out of wall concrete, including the ceiling, the answer is yes!
The Marius Aurenti range of wall-mounted micro concrete
With its deep matte finish and natural colorsWall concrete is a very contemporary material for dressing up a living room or bedroom, or turning a store into a showcase for your products, by responding to other materials – wood, marble, glass, metal, ceramics, earthenware… – while adding a mineral decorative touch.
Whether textured or smooth, wall-mounted concrete gives free rein to the craftsman’s creativity in the service of design: new or weathered, wall-mounted concrete is both unique and multi-faceted.
Wall-mounted concrete
Colored through and through, it offers a wide variety of colors and finishes to suit any decorating style: for example, a light-gray textured concrete wall with an industrial look, or a smooth concrete wall in a pastel pink or terracotta color, recalling the warmth and authenticity of the earth.
Classic” wall concrete
The
Classic” wall concrete
offers a smoother, velvety-soft finish, fine and sensual to the touch, with a cloudy, patinated, chic look.
Texture” wall concrete
Texture” wall-mounted concrete offers a finish similar to that of traditional roughcast concrete: irregular, full of asperities and small cavities…
Wall concrete colors and varnishes
Marius Aurenti wall concrete is available in the 71 colors of the Iris color chart.
It can be protected with Marius Aurenti’s high-performance wall varnish or IF3 MA’s fixative (matte, silk matte or gloss) in high-traffic areas.
It’s an economical material, ideal for very large commercial space developments, and has a long open time allowing great continuity of application.

Wall concrete in the home
Mural concrete on a bedroom or living room wall
A trendy, modern material, wall concrete adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to your interior walls in living rooms, right down to your bedroom and living room.
Durable, wall-mounted concrete is easy to maintain and clean, making it the perfect choice for the walls of your living room or bedroom.
Installing micro concrete on a plasterboard wall
You can easily apply micro concrete to a plasterboard wall (also known as drywall, BA10, BA13, BA15, BA18, BA25, etc.).
Plasterboard is a surface that has the advantage of being perfectly flat, but with the disadvantage that joints interrupt this surface and can cause reliefs or differences in appearance when drying.
In fact, the layer of micro concrete or mural will be millimetrically thick: any underlying relief or differences inmoisture absorption (particularly at joints between slabs) are likely to be reflected on the surface.
To smooth out joints, flattening strips are applied or, preferably, a full plaster is applied to fill in imperfections and homogenize the surface. This coating is then lightly sanded, followed by a white wall primer, then wall concrete or lime.

SUBSTRATE AND SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
This coating is reserved exclusively for interior walls outside splash zones.
Gypsum and plasterboard, cement, aerated concrete, paint and adherent plaster.
Substrates must be mechanically sanded if necessary, sound, dry and clean (notably free of greasy stains, dust and any loose parts).
Substrates are primed with Marius Aurenti Wall Primer to obtain a mechanical hold and block the base.
Structured and/or jointed substrates (plaster, brick, breeze-block, etc.) are prepared with a levelling compound to avoid the appearance of spectra, then with Marius Aurenti Wall Primer.

Parfaitliss 35 cm float or 200 mm stainless steel float and American knife.
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF WALL CONCRETE
Step 1: Component B + Blush
- Roll the bucket of component B on the ground to aerate and soften the material before mixing.
- Open the component B bucket and make a slight indentation in the center of the base.
- Shake the BLUSH concentrate jar, open it and pour the entire contents into the hollow of the base.
- Secure the bucket with the feet, and mix the base and concentrate dry, at low speed (Collomix double-turbine mixer type). Be careful not to spill any out of the bucket. Accelerate gradually.
- Continue mixing with straight and angled vertical and lateral movements to perfectly blend the contents. Insist on the edges and bottom of the jar, so as not to forget these hardest-to-mix corners. When mixing for the first time, we recommend pouring the mixed contents into a bucket of the same size, to visually check the quality of the mix and repeat if necessary. Mixing time should not be less than 1 minute.
Stage 2: Component A + mixture
- Homogenize component A well, then introduce the mixture (component B + BLUSH concentrate).
- Mix until smooth and lump-free.
Note: the dry storage life of the dry mixture (component B+ BLUSH concentrate) is not impaired if the buckets are closed and stored under the recommended normal conditions.
Apply 2 thin coats, playing with effects with the application tools to give a random look to the decor. Note that when you apply the second coat, effects such as color are enhanced when the tool is pressed down hard. Wall varnish not only achieves the target color, but also protects the plaster.
Rough finish: simply allow to dry. The color will be light.
Velvety finish: Rub the plaster with a slightly damp cement sponge to bring out the laitance. The aim of this finish is to achieve a very homogeneous overall appearance with few mottles.
Warning: the tint will be lightened by the use of water.
DRYING TIME AT 20°C AND 60% RELATIVE HUMIDITY
BETWEEN 2 COATS | 4 hours |
BEFORE WAX, FILLER OR VARNISH | 3 days |
TOOL CLEANING
Equipment should be cleaned with hot water after use.

APPLICATION
Apply a single, thick coat without trying to achieve a decorative effect. Allow to dry for at least 12 hours (at 20°C and 60% RH).
The aim is to obtain a mass layer that can then be completely sanded down to 40 grit. When sanding, take care not to expose the substrate.
Decoration takes place during sanding.
After sanding, you can apply a coat of stain in the same color as the concrete wall, adjusting the dilution to achieve the desired decorative effect.
The glaze is applied with a sheepskin glove, playing with irregular, dabbing and wiping effects.
Any excess can be wiped off with a clean cloth, for an aesthetically pleasing visual effect.
The concrete surface can be left rough or protected with a coat of wall protection varnish for a matt effect, or two coats for a silky matt effect. Allow to dry for at least 4 hours (at 20°C and 60% RH).
You can repeat the glaze application after the first coat of varnish to reveal the material effects. Note that you can also change the color and play between the color of the substrate and the color of the glaze. As wall concrete is a product with a wide range of possible effects and aspects, we recommend that you carry out preliminary tests to validate the aesthetic result desired by the customer.
TOOL CLEANING
Clean equipment with water and abrasive pad after use.
